Press-conference with Viktor L. Korchnoi
On the 22-nd of January 2009 at conference hall of Nevsky Forum Hotel was held a press-conference with the oldest active grandmaster on the world chess tournament circuit Viktor L. Korchnoi. A four-time USSR chess champion, a five-time European champion now visited St.Petersburg as a special guest during the festive ceremonies timed to 65-th anniversary of the relief of the siege of Leningrad. All the major St.Petersburg mass media were accredited to the press-conference. During the interview Viktor Korchoi told the audience the reasons of visiting St. Petersburg this time and presented his new book “Chess without mercy”.
One of the first exemplar of the book autographed by Mr. Korchnoi was presented to the representatives of Valka Hotels Group, who have assisted with arranging of this event.
